What's the problem?

  • How can I create trusted communities and yet avoid the complexities of firewalls etc.
  • How can I be sure that others sharing the same resource cannot have an effect on my own use?
  • To design a the trusted platform, we need to build security into the overall system, its interactions, interfaces, management. However, securing systems is complex, time consuming, costly and prone to errors.

What are we doing?

  • Defining and building mechanisms for containment across clusters of machines with trusted networking, suitable for XSP environments
  • Reducing complexity of system security boundaries administration
