What's the problem?

• Systems are becoming larger and more complex; hence more vulnerable to attack (inside and out)
• Attackers are becoming more ingenious in developing viruses and gaining unauthorized access into systems.
• The need to exchange high value information across domains of trust is increasing, but such information is not well protected against misuse

What are we doing?

• Policy based information control, using mandatory controls within an OS
• Hardware Security Appliances - a cost effective way of achieving enhanced security, e.g. separation of concerns
• Corporate Immune Systems, bio-security
• Business Forensics
