Amitabh Saxena is a post-doctoral fellow at HP Labs India. He received his M.S. (2003) and Ph.D. (2007) degrees from La Trobe University, Victoria, Australia, and a B.E. degree (1997) from .MERI, Calcutta. After his Ph.D, he spend 3 years in Europe (Italy and Germany) as a post-doc in cryptography before joining HP Labs. His research topics included cryptography, code-obfuscation and secure multiparty computation. He is currently working on developing a secure and scalable communication infrastructure for next-generation mobile computing.
His other interests include quantum computation, astronomy and traveling.
Mathew Cherian is a visitor at HP Labs India. He will be working in the Biometrics division of the Unique Identifier Authority of India (UIDAI) as a Indo-US Science and Technology Forum (IUSSTF) fellow. Mathew is a recent graduate of MIT, where he completed dual MS degrees in Computer Science and Technology & Policy. For his thesis, he developed a data federation engine for Semantic Web data sources and explored its applications in educational information management.
Prior to his time at MIT, Mathew worked in ASIC design and verficiation, and systems engineering. He holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from Johns Hopkins University.
