We
study the technological advances that let users have much richer
experiences, which may include media rendered in virtual
environments, 3-D shapes, interactive video, etc. We take
into account the fact that it can be quite expensive (in terms of
both user time and money) to acquire and edit such rich media, and
thus we also develop techniques to simplify the creation of new rich
media formats with automatic capture, and investigate how to make
the media ubiquitous.
