Introduction

I am a senior research scientist at Hewlett-Packard Laboratories in Palo Alto, California. My current focus is on the development of service-oriented solution architecture and technologies to provide personalized services on real-time via mobile and internet service delivery channels. The retail shopping assistant is the primary service application prototype under development to demonstrate the developed architecture and technologies. This service application supports touch points from home computers, mobile devices and in-store kiosks, and incorporates customers, stores and store business partners (e.g., manufacturers, financial service providers) into a collaborative online shopping ecosystem. 

The major research activities that I have been involved in the current project include:

• Customer privacy protection
• Personalized service offering workflow engine
• Secure mobile payment
• Asynchronous event-based service delivery
