Abstract: We present an architecture that addresses a number of issues that would otherwise severely hamper network performance in a wireless network. By combining a number of techniques that improves IP performance, on low bandwidth links, both throughput and bandwidth utilization is increased. Special attention has been devoted to ensure good performance of TCP but other protocols such as UDP will also benefit from deployment of the Mobile Gateway techniques.
