Dynamics of Piecewise Linear Interval Maps with Hysteresis

Abstract: We study a special case of multistate maps, piecewise linear interval maps with hysteresis. The main object of study is the global attractor. We find the conditions for it to be lower semicontinuous. We also prove that it coincides with the nonwandering set and prove several facts about omega-limit sets of the discontinuity points of the map.
