Abstract: Managing software project teams can be quite a challenge; many of us bear scars we've earned in the process. Managing the particular kind of software project that I'll call a "collaboration" involves further complications. I want to take this opportunity to discuss some of the guidelines I've gathered about how to increase the probability that a collaborative software project will be successful.
