Abstract: In this paper, we discuss the issues on developing Data Storage Library (DL) based on Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) for CDSA 1.2 on HP-UX 11.0. We first introduce CDSA 1.2 DL interface specification and some representative LDAP APIs, and then point out the issues on developing an LDAP-based DL. Finally, some suggestions are given.
