Update: 2024-Aug-17 ------------------- A benefactor, r. bear stricklin, came forward with floppy images for UTek 2.2 (and utilities/extras) for the 6100. These are now available from Bitsavers (http://www.bitsavers.org/bits/Tektronix/6130/). I used these images to build a new emulated disk image containing a fresh installation of UTek 2.2.3 with several compilers. You can find more information in this thread: https://forum.vcfed.org/index.php?threads/working-tektronix-6130-minimal-utek-2-3-os.1244677/ You can find the emulated XT-1140 disk image in this directory, under the name "xt1140-utek-2.2.3-base.emu" - you should be able to hook it up under an MFM emulator and go. Enjoy! Note from 2023 follows: ---------------------- This directory includes the dump of a Micropolis 1302 (20MB) hard disk from a Tektronix 6130, with a minimal installation of UTek 2.3. Looks like a previous owner removed a bunch of software. The dump was performed with David Gesswein's excellent MFM Hard Disk Reader/Emulator. See http://www.pdp8online.com/mfm/mfm.shtml for more information. You can use the micropolis_1302.emulation file with the Emulator board to run a Tektronix 6130. The password for the root account is the same as the login name. There is also a "sysadmin" account with no password, that provides some menu- driven administration options. The 1302 did have ~33 bad sectors, you can see that from the log file. When you try executing some things on the running system it may result in a core dump. Sorry it isn't more interesting, but I didn't get any media with the machine. Haven't found anything online so far either. Good luck, --Steve. 2023-Sep-12 Berkeley, California
