Abstract: A new agent programming methodology, call Abductive Agent Oriented Programming, is introduced. This methodology builds on Shoham's Agent Oriented Programming paradigm and the abductive reasoning work in Logic Programming. The application of this paradigm to the development of semi-autonomous software agents is discussed.
