Manish Marwah

Biography
Manish Marwah is a researcher in the Sustainable Ecosystem Research group (SERg). He is conducting cross-disciplinary research on sustainable systems and infrastructures, specifically pertaining to power, cooling and computing subsystems in data centers. In particular, he is looking at applications of data mining and machine learning to enhance sustainability of physical infrastructure; impact of availability mechanisms on sustainability; and, cross-layer optimizations.
He received his PhD in Computer Science from University of Colorado at Boulder. His PhD thesis focused on building distributed systems with enhanced server fault-tolerance to provide seamless user experience. He has also worked for several years in the telecommunication industry, most recently as an architect with Avaya Labs.
His research has led to more than 40 refereed papers in conferences and journals; and resulted in 7 issued patents (with over 35 pending).
Manish received an M.S. in Computer Science and an M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Colorado at Boulder and a B.Tech. from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi.
