Biography
Christopher is a researcher in the Information Surfaces Lab, focused on creating new technologies for updatable, low-cost printable display surfaces that combine the best features of existing displays and print.
Research interests
- The continuum theory of liquid crystals - both director and Q-tensor models.
- Optical modelling of displays - both grating aligned liquid crystal systems and other devices of interest
- Finite element modelling - developing a flexible finite element modelling system to model the both the liquid crystal behaviour and the resulting optical performance of devices of interest.
- Inverse problems - techniques to fit experimental data, using regularization techniques based upon liquid crystal continuum theory.
