Errata for paper "Flat XOR-based erasure codes in storage systems: Constructions, efficient recovery, and tradeoffs" by Kevin M. Greenan, Xiaozhou Li, and Jay J. Wylie that appears in The 26th IEEE Symposium on Massive Storage Systems and Technologies (MSST2010): Research Track, May 6-7, 2010, Nevada, USA. Terminology issue found on May 6, 2010: We misnamed one of our code constructions. In section 3.C we describe the "HD-Combination" code construction. The code construction is based on the desired Minimum Hamming Distance of the code. Using just the acronym HD is thus confusing. We now refer to these code constructions as Minimum Distance (MD) Combination codes. Thanks to our colleague Vinay Deolalikar for helping us clarify our terminology.
