Teck Hooi Lim

Biography

Teck Hooi develops Cloud based applications together with his fellow engineers and researchers. He has developed applications ranging from web-based and messaging applications to desktop applications using Java technology and other open source technologies. Other experiences include writing Hadoop applications in Python.

Teck Hooi has the Diploma in Material Engineering from TAR College, Malaysia. About the same time, he passed his examination that qualified him to become a member of UK Engineering Council that carried the the title Chartered Engineer if he followed thru. However, he decided to follow his heart to become a software developer.

He has also shown interest in other JVM languages like Clojure and Scala. These generation of languages provide the developer an arsenal of tools to handle concurrencies better and easily and they are expressive.
