Laurel Krieger
Biography
Laurel Krieger is Chief of Staff for HP Labs and leads the Strategic Planning function. This organization is responsible for the strategy and portfolio management of HP’s central research organization, and also oversees HP Labs’ Open Innovation program to establish deep and impactful research collaborations between HP and academia, helping amplify and accelerate research results. Recent successes include Innovation Research program (IRP) awards to 62 professors in 51 institutions in 11 countries – a result of HPL’s global, open, competitive approach to research collaborations.
Krieger joined HP in 1996 and has held individual, management and program management positions spanning multiple functions, including strategic planning, executive communications, marketing communications, business process design, help desk operations, software engineering, IT, and web and database design. She is an experienced and proven people and program manager with a track record of successfully leading cross-functional, global teams and programs. In her current role, she liaises with business and R&D leaders, communications functions, technologists and support functions across HP.
Krieger has an MBA with an emphasis on Managing Innovation and Technology; and a Bachelors in Communication & Information Sciences.
