Igor received his PhD in 2009. His primary research was string algorithms in online and real-time model. Afterwards, he continued with two post-doctorate studies, working on varied fields starting with real-time data structures for massive datasets and continued with algorithms on graphs and co-phylogeny research in a computational biology. For many years Igor was a teacher assistance and later on an instructor in Bar-Ilan University. His teaching areas are on theoretical computer science, foremost "Data structures" and "Algorithms" courses.
When not working his favorite hobby is chess. Prior the studies, Igor was a chess master and a recognized chess trainer. He was also one of two authors of a chess book "San Luis 2005", awarded as best chess book of 2007.
